“A Painting is often the result of an encounter with someone or an animal. In this case, “The Wild Bunch”, is an encounter with a anonymous stunning picture. It tooks me weeks to find its author and contact him to ask permission to draw inspiration from his picture. Despite the distance, we got acquainted and I was touched by his kindness and availability. He has met these young lions, but now, after three months working on this painting, I seem to have been there with him in South Africa”

“Bayàe – Portrait N°2″ – Work in progress – Day 1 and 2
Facebookians could see almost in real time the progress of the second portrait of this beautiful Poitevin called “Bayae”
Here are the different steps of the work on the painting:
Step 1: very detailed drawings of the dog : we can see that everything is there: the volumes are drawn by light grids that will give me also the directions of the fur.
Hound dog portrait : ” Bayàe N°1″
It’s been a while since I had finished it, but I had not taken the time to photograph it properly.
Let me present you as a preview of the Rambouillet show’s the first portrait of “Bayàe”. The format is square 60 cm x 60 cm on a frame called “3D”, which gives a fairly modern aspect to the painting. It shall normally be followed by 3 other portraits.

Wildlife Digital Painting : Tiger
mmmh …. yes I know, I do not post very much. Blame it on Facebook, I put a lot of pictures and videos on my account. Then necessarily there are fewer here. I promise I’ll stop disperse myself.
Here I wanted to submit for your critical eye my first animal digital painting drom a photo of Suha Derbent . Let me explain: it is a painting done on a software called Corel Painter which allows, using a graphics tablet, to paint directly on your PC.
Early morning Fox
Even if I’m focus on quite large paintings of African animals, I like to “get some fresh air” with small watercolors.
Here is the last one that I called “Early morning Fox”. I like the “ethereal” aspect in the composition and colors.
