Facebookians could see almost in real time the progress of the second portrait of this beautiful Poitevin called “Bayae”

Here are the different steps of the work on the painting:

Step 1: very detailed drawings of the dog : we can see that everything is there: the volumes are drawn by light grids that will give me also the directions of the fur.

Step 2: I work on the background blured to highlight the portrait of the dog. The composition and the grounds management are almost photographic.

Step 3: Work on the ear : the details are already here.

Step 4: Work on the white fur of the neck : 3 to 4 different shades of gray are needed to highlight the fur.
