The Print is numbered and signed with a certificate of authenticity. There are two signatures : the original painting signature which is printed and the signature of the print by the Artists’s hand. Available sizes :

Framing recommended:

  • – The matte black floater frame add a modern, elegant finish. The framing is made by hand by a french artisan.

Shipment Choice :

  • – Rolled in a tube. You can stretch the canvas yourself or have it done by your framer. Shipping costs are cheaper.
  • – Stretched : The canvas is stretched over the unframed wooden stretcher. The painting is delivered in a wooden case by carrier and ready to hang.
  • – Framed in a floater frame : The canvas is stretched and framed in a beautiful matte black floater frame. The painting is delivered in a wooden case by carrier and ready to hang.

The watermark does not appear on the print.

“The Buffalo looks at you as if you owe him money” – here is a famous quote from Robert Ruark that sums up quite well the impression that an encounter with an old male Cape Buffalo can leave on you.

The Cape Buffalo is the largest buffalo in Africa, reaching over 900 kg. What makes it its legend is its natural aggressiveness, even the females do not hesitate to charge the lions to defend their offspring.

Each individual is different and by dint of observing herds, I happen to recognize some of them. I particularly like the old males with their worn and weathered horns. their “face” is chiselled and reveals their strong character.

“The Last Stand” is that old buck standing proudly and fearlessly against the predator.

About the Artist:

Stephan Alsac is a hyper-realistic contemporary painter. His paintings, most often oil paintings, represent animals with an astonishing realism close to photography. The idea here is not to reproduce a photo, but to sublimate the animal and make it “truer than life”.

Shipping

Your comission is usually shipped within a week and delivered to you, depending on the type of delivery you choose. You can choose 4 types of delivery:
  • Point Relais: this is the cheapest and slowest method: your order is delivered to the nearest point Relais. You can choose the relay point when you place your order, once you've entered your delivery address. This type of delivery is available only in France.
  • Standard shipment: this is a normal postal shipment, use only for France. As a general rule, it takes 3-4 days from the time your order is dispatched.
  • Premium shipment: this is the safest and fastest method. Recommended for a delivery abroad. It involves shipment by a carrier such as UPS, Fedex or DHL, depending on your delivery address, and takes 1-2 days from the day of shipment. We recommend this method for originals, digigraphs and photographs.
  • Pick-up at the Atelier / Salon: You can choose to pick up your order at the atelier in Bordeaux-France, or at Salons or Exhibitions. Please contact Stephan Alsac on +33 6 30 31 04 70.

RETURNS AND right of withdrawal

  • You have 15 days from the delivery date to change your mind. Contact Stephan Alsac on +33 6 30 31 04 70 to discuss the return of your order under the best possible conditions.
  • In case of a problem during delivery (break or other), if you have the slightest suspicion of damaged packaging, it's better to refuse the package than to express reservations. Contact Stephan Alsac immediately on +33 6 30 31 04 70.
  • If you notice any damaged after you've accepted and opened the package, don't hesitate to contact us either, and we'll find a solution.
