Description

The hippopotamus is the animal that impresses me the most. I have often heard that it is the most dangerous animal in Africa. But this truth only appeared to me clearly when I saw the terror in the eyes of my guide that day of a Walk Safari.

We were following each other, when I saw my guide turn back quickly, yelling “quick, quick !”. A Hippo was within 2 meters of us on our way, and the river was behind us, so we were in very bad position.

The Hippopotamus runs at more than 30 km / hour, has very bad character, kills more men in Africa than lions or crocodiles. It opens its mouth at 150 ° more to impress than to yawn and its canines can reach 70 cm long.
