"Arabian Horse"

The Arabian horse (Equus caballus, Arabian type) is one of the oldest equine breeds, selected over millennia in the Arabian Peninsula for endurance, speed, and refinement. Its concave head, arched neck, clean legs, and high tail carriage are immediately recognisable characteristics. Grey or white is a very common colour in the breed.

The horse is caught in left profile, in movement, one foreleg raised. The bare white background concentrates all attention on the line — that chain of curves that constitutes the breed's characteristic elegance: high-carried neck, taut back, rounded croup, raised tail. The traditional halter — red leather and metal — is the sole note of colour that roots the animal in a precise culture.
